Zenith Plastics 3rd gen. Herman Miller

Fauteuil Eames, édition Zenith Plastics 3ème génération (identifiable par le “Z” entouré par 3 points et les petits shock-mounts), déjà marqué Herman Miller (Logo “H” et sticker). Exemplaire de transition, Herman Miller allait reprendre la production à partir de 1958.

La coque est en très bel état, jaune ocre, très fibreuse.

Base originale “Cat’s Cradle” galvanisée. Shock-mounts d’origine, un peu de rouille superficielle sur les vis.

Il est extrêmement rare de trouver un fauteuil Eames sur une base cat’s cradle originale.

original Cat’s Cradle base 

Zenith Plastics 3rd Generation Herman Miller

Transitional model, 3rd generation chair manufactured by Zenith Plastics 1955-1958, recognisable by the “Z” marking surrounded by 3 dots and the small shock-mounts. Already marked with Herman Miller logo & Stickers (Herman Miller was going to take over the production in 1958).

Very nice shell in a great state, ocre yellow with a lot of fibres.

On original Cats Cradle base, zinc plated finish. Original shock-mounts, screws with some superficial rust.

It is extremely rare to find an armchair with its original cat’s cradle base !
